Why Start a Creative YouTube Channel in 2019?

I wanted to talk a little about why it is that I went ahead and made this channel - why now, what it is that it means to me, and what it is that I’d like to share with you.

This space is, of course, for creativity.

For bringing ideas to life, bringing businesses to life,

making things happen, changing things around.

It's a place for exploring who you are what you're about where you want to go and how you’re going to get there.

How stay balanced yet how to keep striving.

How to develop in both a personal and professional sense.

It's a place for enjoying all the different kind of aspects involved - whether you work alone in your studio,or with a team around you.

It's going to help you work on yourself, or how to work more on practical things, how to actually get s**t done.

I'm planning on doing different kinds of series', and I have a lot of ideas of things I want to do.

I've done about 250 videos of just practising talking in front of the camera - just get used to it, because I hate talking in front of cameras, I don't even like having my picture taken…

So yeah, I thought f**k it, I'm doing it anyway.

It's an amazing place to have your voice to be able to share what you do, what you're about, what you're interested in, what other people might be able to learn from along the way, sharing the stage lessons experiences, knowledge, insights…

No matter what you're into, there is something that is specific to that.

I've been able to watch all different kinds of people - from artists and thought leaders, heroes, business people, social media experts, all different kinds of people.

When I need to learn about something that's where I choose to go. I personally prefer it when I hear and see someone - I simply find it more entertaining while I take in information. it makes it easier to engage with people I wouldn’t otherwise have that access to when it comes to learning about virtually anything.

I also find that it's a really supportive place It's a place where when I am feeling my most discombobulated.

If I look up the kind of thing that I think might actually help. I'll find something that really will.

And it can be with all kinds of things, whether it's on a professional kind of level, or whether it's a personal thing.

I find it can motivate. It can be incredibly inspiring.

It's actually a place that really moves your thoughts and your attention to places they may not have otherwise been, or where they might have been going, but weren't quite there yet…

To be able to get a real feel for these people are, what they're about, what they stand for, what their message is.

I'd rather, any day, be able to actually see a person, as close to real life as possible, and really get a sense of what that person is like, who they really are.

It's different with something like this - the visual element, the human element, the fact that it breaks down boundaries.

By being able to find Your Tribe online - right here.

To put together these people in your collection (for me anyway) my favourite channels I watch are all around these kind of ideas and philosophies and actions and insights that move people towards being a better version of themselves - in their own determination - what they defined as being the better version of themselves.

It's an amazing space, and the idea of being able to help other people - to offer some kind of insight, to be able to get your feedback, suggestions, your ideas, your comments, to hear about how you've been experiencing these things.

Because it's a shared journey.

If you have any kind of a creative process in any way shape or form, you're gonna go through certain times where - you know like Seth Godin says ‘The Dip’…

Where you have this rush of: “Yes!! It’s a great idea! I love this project!” …and then you go into The Dip - where the Real Work has to kick in…

It takes real persistence and determination - you have to see it through.

So yeah, there's all different times when I've used a platform like YouTube for such meaningful, impactful, educational, inspirational, motivational kind of ways - that I just really want to share some of these things that inspire me that keep me going.

There's certain words on my wall or in my mind that have really seen me through the darkest of times - you know - when we just have to keep on going… even when we really didn't feel like we had that in us.

But we did it.

I'm going to share useful things, inspirational things, and more - and I would love to hear what you think.

So thank you so much for being here. I really appreciate it.

Till next time,

onwarrrrrds!
